Dr. Sandy Johal BSc, OD, FAAO, FCOVD – Doctor and Clinic Director

Dr Sandy Johal BSc, OD, FAAO, FCOVD, Surrey BC Optometrist - Panorama Optometry in Surrey BCDr. Johal is a Board Certified Developmental Optometrist. She has built her practice upon her passion for providing high quality vision care that goes far beyond 20/20. Her broad clinical expertise combined with her commitment to helping patients overcome vision challenges in school, work and everyday life ensure that each and every patient can perform up to their potential.

This year marks Panorama Optometry's 14th Anniversary! Since 2004 Dr. Johal's practice has been serving the vision needs of patients of all ages and backgrounds. Her primary care practice has a special emphasis on pediatric, binocular and developmental optometry. Dr. Johal works extensively with both children and adults who have challenges in visual processing, learning, binocular (two-eyed 3D vision), special needs and/or traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Johal graduated on the Dean's List from the University of British Columbia in Cell Biology and Genetics. She went on to pursue a Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Johal has also obtained fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Dr. Jeremy Larson BSc, OD – Associate Doctor

Dr Jeremy Larson BSc, OD - Panorama Optometry in Surrey, BCBefore pursuing a career in optometry, Dr. Larson attended the University of Victoria where he obtained his B.Sc. degree and graduated with distinction in Cellular Biology in 2006. He then attended the University of Waterloo where he completed his Optometry Doctorate on the deans honor list in 2010. Dr. Larson is very excited to be back in British Columbia to practice near his home town of White Rock. He enjoys playing team sports such as basketball and volleyball.  Dr. Larson understands how important vision is while playing sports and during everyday life and he looks forward to helping the community achieve the best vision possible. Dr. Larson is now accepting new patients interested in the Vision Therapy program.

Dr Felicia Rai – BSc, OD – Associate Doctor

Dr Felicia Rai - BSc, OD, Associate DoctorDr. Rai benefits her patients by encouraging them to value their vision and ocular comfort. She will discuss each patient's individual ocular health findings with the intention of building a mutual commitment to the longevity of their vision. Dr. Rai can communicate in English, Punjabi, and Spanish to ease any language barriers that may arise. She looks forward to being a resource to her patients to ensure they receive eye care and advice unique to the environments or challenges they may experience.

Joti Dhillon COVT – Vision Therapy Manager

Joti is a Certified Optometric Vision Therapist who is board certified by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.  Joti is also our Vision Therapy Manager. Not only does she see patients for vision therapy sessions, but she also works with other professionals in the community to organize patient care in related fields. Joti loves to make every patient’s time in vision therapy a fun yet educational experience. Her favourite part of being a therapist is seeing her patients achieve their goals. She enjoys watching movies, listening to music and always has her nails done!

Luvpreet Sidhu – Practice Administrator

Photograph of Luvpreet AtwalLuvpreet graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science-Administration from California State University Fresno. She joined the Panorama Optometry team in 2012. Luvpreet is our Practice Administrator. She plays a critical role in Human Resource for Panorama Optometry. She is passionate about creating a clinical environment that is not only functional for our staff, but makes each patient’s visit a unique and positive one that sets us apart from other clinics. She is kind, compassionate and innovative. Over the 6 years, she has learned that listening to patients conveys respect and builds trust. While away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Ivana Svetik – BA, BEd., COVT – Certified Optometric Vision Therapist, Certified BC Teacher

Photograph of Ivana SvetikKind, considerate, and understanding, Ivana joined our team in February 2014. She obtained her Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Education from the University of British Columbia. Ivana has vast domestic as well as international experience working with people of various ages. Making a positive difference in patients’ lives is one of Ivana’s main reasons for becoming a Vision Therapist. In her spare time, Ivana enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Renu Thapar- Optical Manager

Photo of Office Manager Renu ThaparRenu was born and raised in India and obtained her master’s degree in economics. She is a Certified Optician and contact lens fitter by BC College of Optics. She joined Panorama Optometry in 2013 and is now our office manager. She is passionate about helping patients achieve an enhanced quality of life by choosing the best frames and lenses. To do so, she listens to their concerns, assesses their requirements and provides them with the best information. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her three kids and her husband. Some of her other hobbies are traveling, cooking, and going for long walks.

Vanita Manrai- Dispensing Manager

Photo of Dispensing Manager Vanita ManraiVanita graduated from the University of British Columbia with a major in Biochemistry. She then started her journey at Panorama Optometry in 2010. At Panorama Optometry, she trained in interpreting optical prescriptions and educating patients on lens types and frame styles. Vanita is our Dispensing Manager. One of the reasons she loves being at Panorama Optometry is the smile on a patient’s face when they first receive their glasses, especially if they are seeing clearly for the first time. She is committed to giving her patients the best possible vision while making sure they look their best. When she is not at Panorama Optometry, she loves spending time with family and friends, watching movies and cooking!
