Dr. Sandy Johal BSc, OD, FAAO, FCOVD
Doctor and Clinic Director
Dr. Johal is a Board Certified Developmental Optometrist. She has built her practice upon her passion for providing high-quality vision care that goes far beyond 20/20. Her broad clinical expertise combined with her commitment to helping patients overcome vision challenges in school, work and everyday life ensure that each and every patient can perform up to their potential.
Since 2004 Dr. Johal's practice has been serving the vision needs of patients of all ages and backgrounds. Her primary care practice has a special emphasis on pediatric, binocular and developmental optometry. Dr. Johal works extensively with both children and adults who have challenges in visual processing, learning, binocular (two-eyed 3D vision), special needs and/or traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Johal graduated on the Dean's List from the University of British Columbia in Cell Biology and Genetics. She went on to pursue a Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Johal has also obtained a fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr Felicia Rai – BSc, OD
Associate Doctor
Dr. Rai has been a part of the Panorama team since 2016 and enjoys working with ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, pediatric vision, acquired brain injury, and developmental vision disorders. She is was born in the Lower Mainland and loves being on the West Coast. She graduated with distinction from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry and graduated with distinction and recognition in Binocular vision, Vision therapy, and Pediatric vision. Dr. Rai aspires to obtain her fellowship with the College of Optometrists in Vision and Development and has made this her next goal. She feels that working with developmental vision disorders, and vision disorders related to acquired brain injuries has been an invaluable experience and tremendously fulfilling.
Dr. Rai encourages her patients to value their vision and ocular comfort. She will discuss each patient's ocular health findings with the intention to build a mutual commitment to the longevity of their vision. Dr. Rai can communicate in English, and Punjabi as well as sufficiently in Spanish and will try to ease any language barriers that arise. She looks forward to being a resource to her patients and to ensure they receive eye care unique to their environments and challenges they may experience. Dr. Rai enjoys music, food, travel, and hearing about her patient's adventures.
Dr. Helon Law, BSc, OD
Associate Doctor
Dr. Law grew up in Vancouver and received his bachelor's degree from UBC. He went on to study at Pacific University College of Optometry, where he graduated with distinction and was the recipient of the Dean's Award. His optometric education also included an intensive ocular disease rotation at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the #1 ranked eye hospital in the USA. He has also trained extensively at a private practice which primarily focused on patients with binocular vision disorders, including those suffering from acquired brain injury.
Dr. Law is passionate about taking a tailored, whole-person approach to better serve his patients. He loves finding new ways to improve his patients' quality of life by maximizing their ocular health and visual functioning. Dr. Law is able to serve his patients in English and Cantonese. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, rock climbing, and planning his next travel adventure.
Luvpreet Sidhu
Practice Administrator
Luvpreet graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science-Administration from California State University Fresno. She joined the Panorama Optometry team in 2012. Luvpreet is our Practice Administrator. She plays a critical role in Human Resource for Panorama Optometry. She is passionate about creating a clinical environment that is not only functional for our staff but makes each patient’s visit a unique and positive one that sets us apart from other clinics. She is kind, compassionate and innovative. Over the 6 years, she has learned that listening to patients conveys respect and builds trust. While away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Renu Thapar
Optical Manager
Renu was born and raised in India and obtained her master’s degree in economics. She is a Certified Optician and contact lens fitter by BC College of Optics. She joined Panorama Optometry in 2013 and is now our office manager. She is passionate about helping patients achieve an enhanced quality of life by choosing the best frames and lenses. To do so, she listens to their concerns, assesses their requirements and provides them with the best information. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her three kids and her husband. Some of her other hobbies are traveling, cooking, and going for long walks.
